Lichess Data

I added my data. Sorry to throw an outlier into your graphs, though, because my rating is quite low.

Once my correspondence rating becomes nonprovisional, can I resubmit?
No, no, no worries. I'm in need of some lower-rated values - I have very few. Yes, you may re-submit. Re-enter your data with your username and I will delete the older, more obsolete one.

I don't think that would bring any trouble into the data.
@TraderLynch,

thats a nice idea but I think its hard to get lower-rated values because most lower-rated players dont play OTB-chess and will therefore have no "hard" (real) rating like FIDE or USCF.

Most people who have such a rating are higher rated players or players who dont take online-chess very serious anyway.

In my opinion many online-only players always try hard to compare with rated players instead of playing "real" chess as well. But such an comparison is more or less pointless anyway.

Hope you will have success with your project anyway!

Best wishes
Nada
Hi Nadastar.

I had the same concern, actually. The data Smarterchess got from chess.com did have some lower values, fortunately. I'm not sure if the same can be said for Lichess, however. Either way, I'm doing this for fun so hopefully some sort of insight can be gained through this.

I'm not rated OTB myself and lack experience in general for how people feel about OTB/online chess, so I appreciate you sharing your perspective. Many thanks. :D
Well, you have to "obnoxious" to people at some point. That's the point of a survey. You have to make sure it reaches the attention of people eventually.That's how political campaigns and polls are done. If you want data, you have to seek it. It will take terribly long to get people to get it. And worst of all, the data collecting process is biased in some way because the respondents sought our your document, it wasn't a random sample.
