Counter-Attacking Chess Openings

The hippopotamus opening has caught my eye as an interesting counter-attacking chess opening. Are there any other counter-attacking openings for either white or black? There are scarce resources online.
may I ask your definiton of counter-attacking? because to me counter-attacking is playing a non symmetrical opening such as Sicilian , Caro-Kann, Indian Game, etc.
Search for hyper-modern openings, white usually goes for center control and black then tries to destroy it.
@Masquerade By looking at your games it seems you have a classical style and often you will go to the endgame, I suggest you try a Caro-Kann or maybe even a French, see if they suit your style.
@SamuelIFowler

Would the hippo be considered classical or hyper-modern? I'm really enjoying playing it. I used to play the caro-kann, but switched to scandi and sicilian in reply to 1. e4. I never really liked the French b/c I can never seem to find a plan.
then yes i agree with hypermodern openings
other lying in wait type openings are the hedgehog system for black
the stonewall formation as white,
more standard openings such as Caro-Kann and French for their solidity and "lying in wait" idea of pawns forward one, not two
I'll start a possible list:

White:
Bird's opening
Reverse hippopotamus
c4 followed by Botvinik system
Stonewall setup

Black:
Hippopotamus defense
Caro-Kann defense
Dutch defense
French defense
Hedgehog system
Any of the hyper-modern openings (pirc, grunfield, modern, alekhine, etc.)
