I'm bored of chess.

I don't know why, but I can only play (well) for like 2 weeks in a 6 month period, the rest of the time, I'm complete rubbish.

Coincidentally, I get seriously bored of the game after these two weeks also, so alas...

Anyone else the same way? :)

I'm also bored of this game – I just didn't quit yet because I haven't find anything better to do instead... =/

I'm consistently bad 95% of the time so I'm not sure if I know the feeling very well. I'm also very impatient so I refuse to think moves through before making them. Somehow I haven't gotten bored so far. Maybe I haven't played enough matches to see more of the same yet...

Play other games. There are other highly mechanical/systems-based gaming experiences, and those can be just as satisfying. Chess isn't the be-all and end-all of game design.

Either way, you will come back to chess eventually. :) Fact.
