Lichess Pools

Hello all, I recall a while back that Lichess attempted to implement pools for certain time controls: 1 0, 5 0 etc. I believe they were discontinued whether due to lack of interest or difficulty in practice. I was curious if there is still the possibility or interest in creating these pools again and trying them out once more (as the site continually gains in popularity). Would anyone be interested in this or are people content without them? Thanks

The pools were fine in principle but didn't work in practice.

What they should actually do imo is something NEW, that was voted on about two years ago - the most popular idea at one point - namely to bring in a sort of league championship. This could be worked in myriad ways, from scoring points according to finishing position in various tourneys, to a Swiss system played over weeks.
