It's probably true that I'm just making less mistakes, it would explain why my playing style doesn't feel any different. I guess my try-harding as a puny 1400 getting to 1500 helped me develop my style and find my favorite openings, and now I'm just polishing off my style by not making stupid blunders and mistakes :D
