Recently while analyzing my games I noted that now the machine calificates your moves, lol! It is very trollish from Stockfish, and very buggy also.
For example: Qe5?! Now checkmate is unavoidable.
What the hell Stockfish, that move is ?? not ?!
I didnt know or notice any down on the server to add this thing, but it is nice lol, now a machine can break my heart
I can understand wanting to classify that as a blunder, since the mate is so easy then.
To be fair, though, white was getting mated anyway (looks like maybe a mate in 14 or so).
From an objective standpoint like the computer's, all that move did was go from losing to losing several moves more quickly.
Generally ?? is reserved for moves that actually throw away a result (i.e., you had a win and now you're drawing or losing, or you had a draw and are now losing).
Still, from a human perspective I get it. The mate after Qe5 is really obvious, so it's definitely a poor choice.
I don't think there's anything wrong with giving it ?!, though, because even though I doubt a human would just look at the position and go "Oh, yes, mate in 14", the only ways for white to stop the immediate mate lose tons of material quickly.
I'd be fine with ?!, ?, ??, or no mark at all, honestly. Position was dead lost to begin with.
The "?!" was an unlucky choice by the developers since in real chess commentary the "?!" stands for a dubious move which may have an upside or at least an interesting idea.
