Why not disable the abort button so that it is only available to abort after 20 seconds or whatever has been deemed appropriate for waiting? Otherwise I sit and wait for someone to move that isn't going to move and if I abort 1 second too soon I get the silly ban for 15 minutes.
There also needs to be some sort of indication about the 45 second thing. Apparently aborting after 15 seconds is okay, but aborting after 45 seconds means one player gets punished. Actually I think doing away with all of this and just auto aborting the game after 15 seconds makes the most sense.
OK at the time of this posting 270 people viewed this post and only one responded. You all have to have an opinion on this topic. Please post either way what you feel. I believe the lobby ban is of no use and should be done away with. If you feel this way or not post it.
Disabling the abort button until 15 seconds has passed sounds like a good solution.
I click leave when opponent is away; so when I join a game and they're not there (the red x mark appears next to their game.) Note that I mostly play the lightning games; and 30 seconds is like a whole game. I wait around 10 seconds for first move; if opponent doesn't play then I leave. Please fix this "feature" since it is broken.
Sounds reasonable. But also the button might be animated like running clock dial for 15 seconds.
