It's not fair to get banned for aborting games

Today I was banned for 15 minutes for aborting games. I do it because most of the players are leaving before the first move and I had to abort the game.
Don't you have to wait 15 seconds to abort and not get penalized?

Also, I like the temp ban idea. Happens all the time to me. I don't understand why people change their minds. If you don't want to play don't have a seek out.
Is there a 15 seconds rule ? Where is it written?
I've not noticed many poeople leave before the first move to this extent.
If you wait 15 seconds before aborting your opponent will be penalized, not you.
#5 Not exactly. If you wait 15 seconds, nobody will be penalized. However if you wait 45 seconds, your opponent will be penalized.
I assume this is the only case when it's your opponent's your @ProgramFOX? It would be stupid if after 45 seconds, you could abort the game and your opponent would be penalized.
Yeah, of course, it only counts when your opponent didn't move, @lego00. Sorry, forgot to mention that.
@ProgramFOX, do you have a source for that 45 second part? When my opponent refuses to move as white I often just open another tab and start playing another game and abort the original game after I finish that game. Turns out I might end up getting penalized for that (in the case where the opponent does move after a couple of minutes)? This stuff really needs to be made more transparent.
