How do I disable automove and only play against ppl who have it disabled too?

That's got to be one of the most useless functions ever invented. You get to the end of a game and the opponent moves like 25 times in 1 second and next thing you know you run out of time and game over. I want to play a human, not a human with computer assisted preprogrammed moves, used specifically to cheat the clock and win on time.

It also interferes with my own moves throughout the game. I go to move somewhere and then all of sudden it moves me somewhere else because of that function.

Is there a way to turn it off permanently and set a filter so that I only get matched against people who also have it turned off?

I realize I could just play an unlimited time game, but then the opponent takes 2 min per move and I don't have time for that. I just want to play a 3 min game where the opponent doesn't use a computer to cheat the clock at the end.
Can't switch it off for your opponent, but you can switch it off for yourself in settings.
Also in settings, can switch on slow move animation if the action is too fast for you.
Also, consider playing increment games - no need for unlimited.

As for whether premoving is "cheating" - that is purely subjective. Why should a player a queen down win a game? You could argue it the opposite way - without the ability to premove out the win, the player a queen down "cheated" his opponent out of a fair win. I love premove... don't see why lichess should switch it off or add more game seek UI to cater to people who don't want it.
